Makeup Class Policy

Families enrolled in the program may make up missed classes in one of two ways, subject to space availability, coach discretion, and seasonal capacity limits:

• Attend another regularly scheduled class (when space allows), or

• Use the missed class as an open gym pass

During winter sessions, class capacity is limited and makeup spots are not guaranteed.

 

How to Request a Makeup

If your child misses a class for any reason, a parent or guardian must text 413-348-9646.

Please include:

• Child’s name

• Age

• Regular class day and time

You will receive a reply with available makeup options, if space allows.

 

Makeup Class Availability

• Winter sessions often run at full capacity; makeup class spots are limited.

• Makeup enrollment is approved at coach discretion to ensure safe and appropriate class sizes.

• If no suitable class is available, families may choose the open gym pass option instead.

 

Open Gym Pass Option

• Any missed class may be used as an open gym pass instead of scheduling a makeup class.

• Open gym is held Saturdays from 12:00–2:00 PM.

• Open gym passes are valid for the enrolled child and may also be used to bring a friend.

 

Bringing a Friend

• If a child has missed two classes, they may use:

  • One missed class for themselves, and

  • One missed class to bring a friend

• In this case, both missed classes are used for that single open gym visit.

 

Time Limits & Expiration

• Makeup classes must be scheduled within the same six-week session in which the absence occurred.

• After the session ends, missed classes may no longer be used for scheduled makeup classes.

• Open gym passes may be used during:

  • The same six-week session, or

  • The six weeks immediately following the session

After this 12-week total window, missed class credits expire and cannot be redeemed.

 

Using an Open Gym Pass

• No advance scheduling is required.

• Families simply arrive during open gym hours (Saturdays, 12:00–2:00 PM).

• At check-in, families must provide the child’s original class day and time so the absence can be verified and recorded as used.

• If bringing a friend, staff will confirm that two missed classes are available and apply them accordingly.

 

Our Commitment

This policy is designed to ensure every enrolled student receives the full value of the program, even when unexpected absences occur.

While specific dates and times cannot always be guaranteed, families will always have at least one option for each missed class:

• A makeup class (when space allows), or

• An open gym pass
