How we train your kids at Movement Terrain!

🧩 How Our Curriculum Works

At Movement Terrain, our ninja classes aren’t just fun—they’re part of a carefully designed, progressive system that is built on a strong foundation of skill development, personal growth, and ninja confidence. This page gives you a look at how we structure our sessions—and how your child’s progress is tracked.

🔁 Achievement Sheet Rotation

We follow a three-part rotating curriculum throughout the ninja season (September through May/early June). That means each 6-week session introduces a new set of obstacle focuses and techniques.

  • Session 1: Obstacles of Focus

  • Session 2: Obstacles of Focus

  • Session 3: Obstacles of Focus

These session sets rotate in sequence, so students are exposed to a wide range of skills and obstacles.

Each time your child enrolls in a new session, they’ll receive new Achievement Sheets that corresponds with that session’s training focus.

💪 Core Obstacles You’ll See Often

While our obstacle focuses rotate every session to keep things fresh and challenging, a few key obstacles are so foundational to ninja training that you’ll see them again and again:

🏆 Lache & Rings

Among all our training focuses, Lache and Ring Traverse are considered core ninja skills. These powerful movements are at the heart of nearly every ninja warrior course—and among the most physically and technically demanding. These iconic ninja movements are included in every session. Whether your child is working on a beginner swings to elite linking moves and dismounts, these will always be part of their journey.

🧱 Warped Wall

A fan favorite and ninja staple, the Warped Wall is a major feature of every class and is also the final station in most classes. Students consistently work toward personal breakthroughs here—whether that’s making it to the top for the first time or leveling up their technique.

🧗‍♂️ Peg Board

The Peg Board appears in two out of the three session rotations. It’s one of our most demanding grip and strength challenges and helps students build control, endurance, and mental toughness. It’s not easy—but that’s what makes it so rewarding.

🎯 Full-Level Visibility, No Holding Back

Although each session focuses on a selection of obstacles, the achievement sheets include the full progression—Levels 1, 2, 3, and Elite—for every obstacle or technique being trained in that session.

This approach means:

  • A student might be working on Level 1 for a new obstacle

  • But advancing to Level 3 or Elite on a skill they’ve already developed

✅ We never hold students back.
Our system is built to meet each ninja exactly where they are—helping them move forward at their own pace, regardless of what other students are working on.

🥇 How to Complete a Full Level

Because the curriculum rotates across three sessions, students need to complete at least three full sessions to be exposed to all the skills required for a full Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or Elite designation.

📌 Please note: The achievement sheets do not include every obstacle your child will train on. We regularly switch out obstacles to keep sessions fun, fresh, and challenging.
However, the skills on the sheets are to build the core techniques and movement patterns that apply across all ninja obstacles.

In short:
The sheets are the foundation. The gym is the playground. Together, they develop strong, well-rounded ninjas.
